Fees, Insurance & Cancellations

Fees

We believe counselling should feel clear and straightforward from the beginning. Individual counselling sessions are $140 for 50 minutes, and couples counselling sessions are $170 for 50 minutes for two people.

Counselling services provided by a Registered Social Worker are exempt from GST and PST. Your session receipts may also be eligible to claim as a medical expense on your income tax return.

Insurance

Many extended health plans include coverage for counselling provided by a Registered Social Worker. Before your first appointment, we recommend checking with your insurance provider or group benefits administrator to confirm the type and amount of coverage available to you.

After each session, Shared Wellness will provide a receipt that you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement based on your individual plan.

Cancellations

We understand that life can be unpredictable and plans sometimes need to change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, are charged the full session fee.
